Why do I get food cravings when I'm stuffed?

Hey guys... I've lost the same 50ish pounds at least twice in the last 6 or so years, and it's getting really annoying. I'm currently at the top of the swing and I'm really trying to watch what I eat, but I'm getting stymied by food cravings after meals.

I just don't get it. I know that I ate, I also know approximately how many calories I just consumed. But without fail, while I'm borderline rolling myself to my next meeting, I want to eat more. I want to know if there's some mechanism that my body doesn't understand that "full" is not the same as "empty", or if there's something else going on.

If anyone has any comments or suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
