Seven days ago I looked in the mirror and said," I'm done with being over weight and I need to change." So I set up a doctors appointment which is coming up shortly, which I hope to start a plan to deal with health issues resulting from my not so healthy habits. But I knew I wanted to start my progress before then. I got myself a calorie counter app for my phone, entered my info and what my goal weight was and set myself up to loose a modest 1lb a week.

Controlling one's portions is SUPER HARD at first, because it made me realize just how much crap I was shoveling into my mouth for no reason other then I was "bored". But also I was hungry because my body was use to so much more calories. Cranky times for sure. I had a slip up and found myself eating left over Halloween candy without thinking, I beat myself up for a moment and then said," Get back on the horse when you wake up."

It has been a week and I have not lost 1lb BUT 2lbs and I am so damn proud of myself. It just showed me it can be done without having to remove every little thing from your diet. I still get to eat what I want, but I am now more aware of looking at what I am eating.

If I can do it, the person that LOVED to use the "I will start tomorrow." card. Then you too can do it. DO IT!
