I've reached my goal weight and now I'm working on maintaining. During the holidays I've been worrying that I will relapse and even if it only lasts the two weeks before the new year, it is still strengthening the binge/restrict cycle that I have gotten myself in for the last two years.
So I've made a plan that doesn't feel restrictive but will hopefully prevent binging as well. For normal days during these two weeks, I have three points. One point is one serving of anything (1 bowl of cereal, 1 sandwich, 1 tamale, etc.) My plates/bowls are pretty small so I think it will be a good measurement for the point system. Vegetables don't add any points. I think this will help me eat healthy and my trigger foods in one day without feeling like I messed up so I can now eat anything. I hate counting calories because it feels too restrictive.
I'm thinking 4 days during those two weeks, I can give myself 5 points to enjoy a little more food without going over the top. Hopefully this can be good practice for balanced eating and in moderation.
Does anyone else have a plan for moderating eating during the holidays?
