Trying to lose weight while fighting binge eating disorder, you start to hear the same things over and over again and it gets really frustrating, because there's always the assumption that you're doing something wrong inentionally
"You're not hungry, just bored/tired/thirsty/stressed/sad" "Drink more water" "Use smaller plates" "Eat 6 small meals a day" "Eat 3 large meals a day" "Try OMAD" "Try intermittent fasting" "When you want to eat, paint your nails/clean your room/walk your dog/sleep/shower/study/call someone/watch netflix" "Eat more fat/protein" "Go keto/paleo/carnivore/vegan/gluten free/low fat" "Eat high volume, low calorie" "Fat/protein is sooooOoOOOooooOoOoOoO satiating" "Listen to your body" "Stop eating for twenty minutes after your meal to tell if you're actually still hungry" "See a doctor" "See a therapist" "Get drugs" "Don't get drugs" "Read Brain Over Binge/Obesity Code/etc" "Stop eating carbs" "Eat more fiber" "Do less cardio" "Do more strength training" "Drink more coffee" "Drink less coffee" "Don't drink diet soda" "Are you sure you're not just depressed?" "Tell yourself you can have it, but that you don't actually want it" "Don't leave food in the house" "Fill your plate with half vegetables, a palm of protein, a thumb of fat, a foot of fiber, blah blah blah" "BaALlAaNnCcEe" "Don't cut out food groups" "Cut out food groups" "Drink coffee/green tea/bone broth"
Ugh, it's so frustrating dealing with binge eating disorder, and having to go through the same questions and rituals every time I find a new doctor, therapist, support group, etc. Honestly, sometimes I feel like just giving up and accepting that I'm going to become obese and die of diabetes
