I completed the Fenway Spartan race. https://i.imgur.com/fIAh0dd.png
I started running a couple months ago, not necessarily because I like running, but it's an excellent exercise and makes a big difference in my CICO calculations. I have been working up to 3 miles, and made that distance for the first time a couple weeks ago. I've also added going to Body Pump a few times, but really, I haven't been working on my other conditioning a whole lot. I *did* start doing the "burpee challenge," but I'm only up to about 20. Knowing that I was going to have to do a bunch was a bit intimidating.
Actually, truthfully, the whole thing was bit intimidating. My ladyfriend is a Spartan fanatic. She's gotten 2 trifectas in a single year - that's a Sprint ( 3-5 Miles | 20-23 Obstacles ), Super ( 8-10 Miles | 24-29 Obstacles) and a Beast ( 12-14 Miles | 30-35 Obstacles) TWICE, in one year. She is an inspiration and I'm really proud of her. And it's totally intimidating to race with her. She did a race at Palmerton, on a ski slope. It's nuts.
she's getting ready to hang up her Spartan shoes, and I'm thinking of putting mine on. it's probably a bad idea, but I've never really been known for my good ideas. :~)
