I'll start off with the progress pics as that's why people come here right?
I've struggled with my weight all my life, I'm a twin and whilst my brother has always been stick thin and athletic I've always been overweight. That classic phrase "I wish I was as fat as the first time I thought I was fat" definitely applies, as I was 238lbs when I was 19 years old and thought "I should really lose some weight". Cut to age 25 and I was 294lbs.
At a fancy dress party in July I went dressed as Dennis the Menace. I bought a 3XL tshirt that was nearly too small for me, spent the entire day being uncomfortable and self concious, and when I saw the photos I was grossed out by how I looked. It was time to make a change, I need to lose 100lbs.
In August I downloaded MyFitnessPal, limited my calorie goal to 1500 a day, I stopped eating bread, fast food and stopped drinking unnecessary calories, and I started playing Pokemon Go more as an excuse to get out walking. More recently, I turned an hours bus journey to and from work (taking 2 buses with 20 minutes waiting at the stop) into a 45 minute journey each way by walking there.
So far I've lost 34lbs in 3 months, I've enjoyed seeing the physical results, an increase in my sex drive and general energy levels, as well as some health issues just disappearing (acid reflux, bad digestion, spontaneous dry heaving when drinking/smoking) and I'm incredibly optimistic about the future.
