Well guys and gals, I went to the doc last Thursday (The 1st) and I am down a total of 35lbs in 5 weeks. Down to 419lbs (Still waaaay overweight). Anyways, She told me its time to start working in some exercise. She suggested walking to start and add distance every week. And after a while start into a jog.
There is a cemetary right next to my house and the entire loop is 1.5 miles. So, starting yesterday I began to walk there. I only did 3/4 of a mile each day. Overall I feel great about it. It helps me wake up, energizes me, overall just good. Took 20 mins first day, 15 today.
The only negative thing I have to say about it is this: SHIN SPLINTS! Holy guacamole! My shins feel like they were swatted with a bamboo cane! But I keep pushing through and telling myself "No pain, no gain".
Anyways, I just wanted to share. Pretty excited about the progress I have made. From not walking at all for almost 8 years (desk job) to losing 35lbs in 5 weeks. Im stoked.
Again, if you read this, thanks! I just wanted to share my progress. Talking about it here, and typing it all out keeps me motivated.
Well, everyone have a fantastic day! And remember, you can do it!
