Shamed by family back into my old habits

I'm F (20) and I've been struggling to lose weight for a couple of years now. I have taken minor steps to help myself but ultimately a family member shames me into my bad habits again. Whether it was my routine of going to the gym or the alteration of the portions of my food my particilar family member has forced me to break every time I've tried to start to better myself. I don't have any sense of motivation or ambition to keep going when I already dread for when my family member will find out and begin to complain/shame me again. I know my habits are unhealthy and I'm beyond willing to change but I don't know were to start and everything I try to research has been so overhelming for me. Can anyone help me with any tips on minor but effective changes I can make or how I can find motivation past the negativity? Thank you so much.
