So, I try to avoid drinking my calories when I can. I usually drink my coffee black (or with a splash of cream). However, I'm an absolute sucker for fancy coffee drinks (Iced capp at Tim Hortons, just about any drink at Starbucks 😅). Again, I try to avoid them. BUT today was different. I was craving a Starbucks drink of some kind soooooo badly. So I decided to give up 200 calories to try out their gingerbread latte. I was super excited!! Took the first sip and thought .. "gee this tastes a little odd". Not trying to offend someone who may like that drink, it just wasn't for me :(
It was also a really expensive drink ($6!!!) So I really wanted to enjoy it. But I figured there's no point in drinking it if I don't really like it. I finished about half of it and just tossed it. Oh well. I'm more thankful for the extra 100cals to enjoy something else instead of forcing myself to drink it even though I dislike it.
Kind of an aside but does anyone else do that? Like, you know you don't really like whatever you're eating/drinking but you finish it anyway and you're just unsatisfied? I do it all the time so it was quite the victory to convince myself to just toss it away. We got this guys :)
