I’ve finally found something that works!

I’ve struggled with my weight since I was a child. I’ve gained and lost so many times and am sick of it. For the past couple years I’ve desperately wanted to lose weight but never seemed to be able to stick to it. The thought of never being able to eat how I want and having to watch my calories and such just caused me to fail every time I tried to eat better. Well I finally figured out what works for me! I don’t count calories as that just causes me to fall into a depression. Instead I have been writing out what I’m going to eat the next day at night and sending the menu to a friend. My friend gives me suggestions, but she also checks in on me for the day. I stick to the list and watch my portion sizes. I also allow myself to eat the foods that I want when I want them. If I want a burger, then I have a burger, I just account for it by eating less at my other meals. It’s only been 3 weeks and last week wasn’t the best because of Halloween, but I’m down 9 lbs! This time I really feel like I’ll be able to stick to it since I’m not depriving myself of anything. I’ve learned the hard way that that doesn’t work and just sets me up to fail time and time again. It also doesn’t help that I’m a picky eater and have a very limited amount of foods that I will eat on a regular basis, so going about it this way has been really easy and to actually see results is awesome!
