More frustration on the scales...

I know this is likely just one of those hated fluctuations on the scales but today it’s really frustrating me. I’m so close to the healthy BMI range and just want to get there as soon as possible.

My 28 day average TDEE is a little over 2300 calories.

For the past 10 days I have averaged 1550 calories daily intake (it was 1700-1800 for the weeks prior) and my weight hasn’t budged. I’ve been 3lbs away from normal BMI.

Yesterday I took a “break” and ate just under 2,000 calories. Today the scale has gone up 2lb!!!

How is this even possible? I know it must be water or undigested food, but is this the regular cost of breaking the consistency? It’s frustrating as hell that my scales haven’t responded to my large deficit but as soon as I do one day of a smaller deficit, boom, 2lb on!

Mostly I just needed to vent but can anyone offer an actual explanation for this sort of phenomenon? The last time this happened it took a week to get back to where I started.
