If you don't count the calories, the calories still count. Record the binge.

You can lie to your tracking app, but you can't lie to yourself.

I indulged in candy today. It's been a rough week, and I was looking for a sugar fix. I'd planned not to put the calories into MyFitnessPal, trusting that since I will be working out later anyway it won't matter whether I track my mistakes or not. This kind of behavior in the past NEVER helped me- I realized this, and tracked it all in my app. The KitKats, the Reese's, the M&M's: 600 calories.

I can't stress this enough: it is okay to make mistakes. It is okay to indulge once in a while. But STAY ACCOUNTABLE. Don't cheat yourself. You deserve better. You deserve honesty. This is what I told myself when I realized that by staying honest and tracking those horrible calories, I was preventing myself from falling into the old habit of thinking "oh, it probably wasn't that bad and I'll burn it off anyway", when in reality I was surpassing my daily intake goal and not reaching my goals.

So tl;dr, don't lie to yourself. You ate the calories- track the calories.
