So I’ve recently lost 20lbs (still have yet to change my flair), but I hadn’t seen any change in the mirror. Earlier this week I was debating putting a break on my diet when I got to 150lbs (3lbs away) because I was just tired and wanted a week long break from my 2 month long diet. This week I’ve also been slacking on going to the gym and eating within my calorie limit but I couldn’t push myself to care because of midterm stress.
A couple weeks ago I noticed that most of my clothes were too big, but I just said whatever and started buckling my belt tighter. I did have to buy new bras because mine were barely doing anything. Other than workout clothes, I wasn’t gonna spend money on everyday stuff until I was at my goal weight.
Some friends from high school were planning on going out next week to celebrate my friends birthdays. I decided to buy new clothes to look a little put together at least. My pants size went from a 13 to a 9, and my shirt size from an L to a M. I was seriously excited. I bought a pair of pants and a shirt and basically ran home. At home I tried on my new clothes again and wow! I couldn’t believe that that was me in the mirror! I haven’t been able to squeeze myself into a size 9 pant in 4 years! Not to mention I feel awesome now. This really gave me the motivation to keep going.
I know it’s not as dramatic transformation as others on this subreddit, but seriously it just makes me so happy to see how thin I’m getting. Thanks for reading.
