Here is my motivation (list)

I changed my lifestyle about 2 months ago and so far I’m down 30lbs (from 275). Early on, I made a list of reasons I’m doing this and I read it when I’m feeling weak. Maybe others can get ideas from my list and make their own. Sorry if it comes out weird (mandatory “I’m on mobile” disclaimer) Here it is:

-I’m tired of wearing a cpap mask. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea over a year ago. Wearing this leaky, whistling, uncomfortable mask has been terrible. I can’t wait until I no longer need it.

-I’m tired of being hot and sweaty every summer. And in Nothern California, summer seems to last forever!

-I’m tired of buying expensive plus size clothes. HATE this!

-I’m tired of having aches all over. My knees, my back, sometimes my hips. I have an old back injury from before I weighed this much and if I’m not careful it can put me in the emergency room.

-I’m tired of the anxiety I get when I have to fly on a plane and ask for seatbelt extenders. Embarrassing!! Last time I flew, most flight attendants were discreet, but one lady just handed it to a passenger and had them pass it back through several people, over their heads. I was mortified!

-I’m tired of worrying I’ll break chairs. I broke our couch and love seat by just sitting down a little too fast.

-I’m tired of hating having my picture taken. It’s what spurred me to start losing weight.

-I’m tired of being uncomfortable and having no escape from it. You can’t just take your fat off like clothes when you feel terrible.

-I’m tired of being winded when I take stairs

-I’m tired of not fitting in restaurant booths

-I’m tired of being judged for my weight

-I’m tired of stinking

-I’m tired of feeling terrible. Sick, stomach issues, you name it

-I’m tired of my gut hanging out

-I’m tired of not being able to keep up with my kids. This one hurts

-I’m tired of being the fattest person in the room

-I don’t want heart disease

-I don’t want diabetes

-I don’t want cancer

-I don’t want to be a fat old lady with a cane. A lot of older women I know are like this. (Parents of friends and my MIL)
