I am curious on others logic behind this idea? I got the nexplanon implant in my arm almost 3 years ago while I was majorly losing weight and going to the gym. Since I got this thing inserted, I completely stopped losing weight and have been rapidly gaining weight. Hormones in birth control have always seriously affected me, but I am not sure if I can blame this little device on my +50lb weight gain over the last 3 years. I also contribute this to the fact that I also got a desk job, which is mentally draining knowing that I am stuck to a desk all day.
Soon, I will be switching this birth control to the Copper Guard IUD which is non-hormonal. I am wondering if anyone experienced any kind of weight loss after switching birth controls? Obviously changing BC wont be the answer to my weight issues, nor will I lose all of the weight that has been packed onto me over the last 3 years, but it is wishful thinking! Thoughts?
