Hello all! Here for yet another post because I love sharing with everyone and reading everyone's breakthroughs! You are all awesome, keep up the work!
Now, On to the story! So let me start by saying I work in a wildfire reporting office that is to be staffed 24/7. Today I had to work swing shift and it so happens that I am here alone all my shift. Our building is completely outfitted with a kitchen (stove and all). So I decided to bring some food with me to cook for supper. Some brown rice and a boneless skinless chicken breast. My go to for quick supper.
So, a few hours ago, I walked into the kitchen to start cooking my supper and what do I see? 3 HUGE boxes of donuts sitting on the table in the kitchen left over from day shift. Someone must have brought them in. I opened one of the boxes and there they were... a dozen various donuts. They looked amazing. No exaggeration, I stared at them for probably 5 minutes. Finally I vocally said "No" and closed the box.
For most, this is no big deal. But for me, 6 weeks ago, I would have ate 5 of them. For me to not even take a bite of one is a huge mental step forward. I sat here thinking "That's the first time in my life I have EVER turned down a donut". I am just so proud of myself for having the mindset and willpower to say no to junk food. I can't even describe how great I feel right now. I had my serving of brown rice and chicken and finished off my gallon of water instead.
Well. That's my story of success today. If you read this, thank you! And remember, temptation can be overcome by willpower! Hope everyone has a great evening and remember you are awesome!
