Hey friends so I've been at this since the beginning of August and I've used CICO and running to lose just over 20lbs which is half of what I hope to lose total.
My problem is that even though my clothes are a tad looser and I see a lower number on the scale, I can't actually see the results when I look in the mirror. Like I took a before photo a few weeks after I started doing this and I look exactly the same now as I did then. I always "carried" my weight well and was able to be a pretty good athlete no matter how much or little I exercised, but it kind of makes this all feel pointless if I'm not actually going to look any different after all of it.
I know that's not really the whole point, and my goal is to be able to run for long distances and climb things more easily all of which requires weighing less but aesthetics aren't unimportant to me. How do you deal with feeling like you haven't made any progress when the number on the scale, the clothes in your closet, and the image in the mirror fail to convince you otherwise?
