NSV/SV didn’t go crazy on T-day (NSV) & hit a milestone today because of it (SV)

One of my goals on the November accountability challenge was to enjoy Thanksgiving without going crazy. I wasn’t exactly sure how I would do this, except to follow what I’ve been doing (IF and being mindful of my calories).

Meanwhile, I’d been really close to unlocking my next milestone on happy scale. I got within .1 lbs and then went on a mini vacation over last weekend. Went up about 1.5 lbs, but didn’t freak out and kept doing my thing.

Thanksgiving, I fasted til the feast at 1pm (from dinner the night before). I ate what I wanted to until I was pretty darn full, but luckily my sis-in-law’s mashed potatoes were gross so I wasn’t tempted to go crazy 😜. Later had some fudge and one very small piece of pie. I think that was the least I’ve eaten on T-day since I was a little kid.

Normally I love having a turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce and mustard on a roll in the evening. I didn’t! Started fasting again by 6 and fasted until 3:30 Friday, and enjoyed my leftovers sandwiches for dinner.

When I got up this morning and weighed myself, I had met my milestone! I am so, so excited. I can hardly believe that I managed to lose weight during thanksgiving. It’s soooo far off from how I’ve lived many prior thanksgivings for a long time.

I’m so grateful for everything I’ve learned here, and for all you wonderful people who’ve helped me learn about new tools (happy scale! IF!), for the camaraderie, and especially for the confidence to TRUST THE PROCESS and keep plugging away. I’m not at goal weight yet, just hit another milestone. But I feel like a rockstar.
