Part of what I’ve learned is to think less about my current self and more about my future self.
It’s Saturday at 11 AM. College football starts soon. NFL games tomorrow. Just had Thanksgiving. Parties galore.
Fast forward to my future self: It’s Monday...
On Saturday I went to a buddy’s house to watch OSU vs Michigan. Unlimited beer, wings, and pizza. I ate subway before going and consumed nothing at the party aside from my 64 oz of water I brought. Had a great time and rooted my team on to victory. After the game I said my goodbyes and went to the gym again (decided to do a bit on the bike before the game).
Sunday rolls around. Sensible breakfast and had people over to my house: the ultimate comfort zone for eating and drinking (don’t have to drive home!). I order pizza for everyone else and don’t eat a bite. I crush my water, treat myself to a Coke Zero, and enjoy friends and family.
Here we are on Monday. I didn’t overeat or drink an oz of booze on thanksgiving, college football Saturday, nor NFL Sunday. Not only that...I worked out every day. And I had a great time!! Great job - I’m proud of myself.
Here I sit at 11 AM on a Saturday. Time to make all of this a reality. 🤗 And I know each of you can do it too!
