I had an appointment with my doctor yesterday, and for the first time I was really excited to see her. I wanted to show her all the progress I'd made and how I was taking my health seriously now.
What I didn't expect was that getting my blood pressure taken would be painless. I carry a lot of fat in my arms, and the automatic blood pressure cuffs used to hurt me so bad. I would be gritting my teeth and counting to ten to try and bear it. They used to need to inflate over and over again because they couldn't get a reading on me. I hated it so much. I was always left with red marks all over my arm like someone had grabbed me and yanked me around a room.
But this time I was determined to bear it well. Imagine my shock when it was barely uncomfortable and the machine had no problem getting a reading on the first go. Honestly that was the best thing about the appointment lol
Also my doctor was really proud of me and I was able to use MFP to go over what I'd been eating with her and she was really pleased. I'm going back again in March for a full physical and I can't wait to show her however much more progress I make by then.
