My fiancé is a former marine and still takes staying in shape very seriously. We both like to work on self-improvement and developing skills or habits to benefit ourselves.
I need to lose roughly 30 lbs and am struggling. I love to cook, bake and go out to eat so that’s problematic, clearly. I’m working on those habits and have made some progress, particularly by using intermittent fasting.
The hardest part for me however is exercising regularly. I just don’t enjoy it. I’m not athletic or strong and I would rather do a hundred other things than workout. My fiancé sees this as laziness (and maybe it is) and wants me to take exercise more seriously and develop a habit of doing some kind of activity.
Any tips or advice on making exercise a part of your life when you don’t like it and have never been in the habit before?
