Hey! Hopefully questions like this are acceptable here, I tried to post this in r/Fitness and a bot was like "Nah fam, you haven't reddited enough"
I've been having trouble finding information as to my specific question since it's so... specific. Currently I am working to get back into shape after many years of working from home and making bad decisions.
My issue is that about 4 hours after I row I find myself so drowsy my ability to do anything analytical becomes genuinely impossible (not great for programming) and I have no choice but to take a nap. After I nap for 2-3 hours I feel good, my brain function returns to business as usual.
I feel like I'm doing everything that I should be, making right decisions across the board, but I cannot afford to waste time on a daily nap. I'm hopeful someone might have a suggestion on what I need to change to correct this without significantly impacting my goal completion timeline.
Most baffling part for me, with my very limited knowledge regarding fitness, is the drowsiness hit's at around 11, I hold out until noon to eat, but even at 1PM-2PM I still feel like I've been drugged. My body wanting food makes sense to me but it seems like the only thing that's actually appeasing it is sleep? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or general information anyone can provide, I apologize for the rather long-windedness of my question!

I've been doing the following:
Intermittent fasting method where I only eat during a nightly 6 hour window
HIIT rowing on a Concept2 about 30 minutes after I wake up
Limiting calories to around 800-1200 a day, super basic whole foods
(As an aside the rowing is purely for its cardiovascular system and stamina benefits, I'm doing it so I don't want to die after going up and down the stairs a few times, not overly concerned with the calories I may be burning)
