After 17 days of traveling, I weighed/measured myself and these are the results:
- No weight gain/loss
- Lost an inch off my waist
Great news right? Well here is the worrying bit: I checked my blood sugar and as someone who is known to have FBS readings in the range of 60-79, today my FBS was 104 and I am terrified. That is a major leap and the first time my numbers have ever been in the 100s for a FASTING blood sugar. I believe this constitutes a warning of me heading down to becoming diabetic if I keep this up.
Having said that, I am craving whole meals, leafy vegetables, and no more sugar topped carbs. I will also go back into my regular exercise routine as well as rebuild some lost muscle mass. In terms of calorie counting, I will resume that after 2 weeks of eating clean and see if I need a further cut.
