Any tips for someone who wants to eat healthy but has no idea where to start? Specifically for teenagers?

I'm not obese or fat but I want to change my diet and become healthier the thing is I have no idea where to start. I usually just eat whatever I want. I eat quite a bit of fast food since its around our area and my mom doesn't always want to cook.(she's also not the best and has the same rotations of food some healthy some not). But I want to be fitter. I know that I'm still in highschool and can't really make the decisions on what they buy but I really want to live a healthier lifestyle but its just my parents never taught me how so I'm not sure how to start. Any advice on what I can do?

BTW I workout already its just my diet I want to change
