Hi everyone! I want to apologise for dropping the ball this weekend, I have a calendar reminder set for every Sunday, and even went through the motions of changing the # of weeks left in the text body, and evidently never finished submitting it before heading out for pre-holiday errands. Thanks so much to u/179in2019 for giving me the heads up!

So even though it's Thanksgiving weekend, we're all keeping our eye on the prize of being a healthier, happier "us" for Christmas, right? Personally I've begun employing intermittent fasting to keep on track despite all the social dinners this time of year, and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't looked into it yet because it's a lot easier than it initially seemed it would be, but back to our usual challenge specs:

As promised, here is the weekly follow up thread to the original 12 week challenge (seen here ) how did you all do?

Hopefully most of us were able to see that if we really buckle down and do what we know we need to do we CAN improve our fitness in a measurable way in just one week, and that we can be significantly closer to our personal goals by Christmas.

If you are just joining us, here's the deal:

5% Improvement by Christmas Eve (because it's now 5 weeks from tomorrow)

It could be losing 5% of your total body weight, taking 5% off your waist, lowering your bodyfat % by 5%, or reaching a 5% lower BMI number. It could also be 5% GAINS if you prefer! 5% increase in maximum weight lifted, or 5% improvement in aerobic endurance, or flexibility, or running speed... Whatever it is you're trying to achieve, I think we can all make significant progress by Christmas if we buckle down and commit to staying the course. Wouldn't that make the best Christmas gift to ourselves??

Calculation:

_____ (current status) x 0.05 = _____ (the improvement goal)

_____ (the improvement goal) ÷ 5 = _____ (weekly progress goal)

Good luck! I'll make a weekly progress thread every Sunday with the altered weeks left in the challenge & you can find links to them in the text of the original thread here I'm super excited to see how much collective improvement we can make, so even if you're just now joining us and know you won't be one of the '12 week winners', do it anyway because you really can be 5% healthier, faster, or stronger by Christmas if you join us today & how awesome would that feel??
