The birthday update

~2 weeks ago I posted about how I'd been losing focus but I wanted to get back on track ahead of & during my birthday.

I'm pleased to report a success! From my post to the day of my birthday I was hitting my calorie goal, then I had a weekend of celebrations that seemed to last a fortnight in itself. Birthday dinner on Thursday was easy, I managed to eat light during the day to fit in my meal and beers and came in just a touch over my goal. Drinks on Saturday I did the same, and probably (hard to know because I was on cocktails) came in around my TDEE. Monday night I went out for dinner again just with my gf and had a 100% worth it blowout at a nice restaurant I've been wanting to go to for ages. Each day in between, however, I was aiming low and as a result I only had a small bump from the extra food and my weight's come back down by today and is lower than my last weigh-in before the parties began.

I'm feeling really good about this and like I have good momentum heading into a big December! It's like one of the top posts from the other day - if you can get yourself on the right path early you'll be able to make better decisions at the tricky occasions.
