Monday I went for my first run in a few months (a C25K type program), repeated it Tuesday. Today I opted for a 3 mile walk with my dog (she's also my running partner so she's loving this). I had started the program last year, but had an abdominal hernia and was advised against running. Had that fixed but was just being lazy.
My goal is more in running, I used to run a lot, and I was happy when I was running, but it's also the last time I was a healthy weight. So I sucked it up and stepped on the scale today to see what the damage is... 299.6. Not my heaviest, but still shocking. I guess I would like to get down to about 220.
My wife and I have been cooking at home more, and it's been pleasant. We've got some recipes down and have expanded our palate.
I've been sitting and watching too many movies/shows on Netflix and been playing too many games. So I've replaced those with spending more time working on my bass playing and trying to read more.
Ultimately I just want to feel better about myself.
