My mum is the best mum in the world, hands down.
But my goodness she is a real PITA when it comes to me trying to lose weight.
On vacation at my mum's place for a couple weeks right now and she's so stressed because of my eating and lifestyle changes.
Always complaining how I'm not eating enough (which, for her, is ideally ~1500 cal per meal 3 times a day, with snacks in between). Or what I'm eating ("Fruits for dinner, but that's not dinner. Oh no my son is going to sleep on an empty stomach" (no mum, fruit is food too)).
Always complaining how hard I work out and how much time I put into it ("you're sweating so much, what if you fell ill? What if you suffer from weakness you already eat so little?" (no I don't mum, I'm eating enough)).
Then there's the emotional blackmail - "If you don't have that tasty high calorie stuff, I won't either. And no, you can't just have a bite of it. You have to finish the entire plate." "Your brother loves chinese food but he won't eat if you won't eat. Please eat it for your brother." "It took time and effort to prepare this dish, I'll be super sad if you won't eat it".
Ugh. Mom, you never said anything when I ate a lot and gained all that fat. So please don't say anything now that I'm actually trying to do something good.
Seriously, love her loads but part of me can't wait till my vacation is over.
