Question about CI

Hi, So I'm planing to start losing weight, and I need to decide how many calories should I consume. I researched this topic a lot, and it's annoying how it's hard to find straight-forward answers. So, my question is; Is it okay to eat exactly our BMR? For example, everyone says we should subtract 500 from our TDEE, but if our TDEE calculates sedentary lifestyle then decreasing it by 500 is most likely to go under someone's bmr. So, why not just set CI at our BMR? That way every exercise we do is going into our deficit, which means I lose weight quickly as possible without negative impact on my health. Right?
