This is my first hello, as I have been a long time lurker.
I started trying to lose weight this time last year when I decided to join the military. It has been a pain in my butt, that's for sure, lol. It has taken me roughly 12 months to lose 15 pounds, but, I know I have gained a lot of muscle in the process. Little things have showed me progress more than the scale has: using one hand to carry a full ice bucket at work, I can now run a half mile without slowing down (a first ever), and I can do multiple situps for the first time since high school.
I have had a hard time not watching the scale move even after changing my eating habits, working out and just moving around more. Now, finally, when I was changing pictures on Facebook, I noticed it.
My first picture is my sister and I at my wedding on 4/1/18. The right is a picture I took before work yesterday. It makes me so happy to finally see a physical change that isn't just muscle memory coming back.
Thanks for reading my rambles 💜 I love this sub and all its positivity.
