In September, I came to realize that I was on an unsustainable trajectory toward a lifetime of obesity. I had put on 50 lbs. in about two years, was rounding the bend toward 300 lbs, and was up over 80 lbs. from my lowest healthy point. I was tired all the time, sweating more, struggling to maintain a reasonable blood pressure, and had outgrown my wardrobe three times in a year.
Today, after two months of reevaluating my eating habits, and trying to be more active, I am down 27.5 lbs., half way to my first loss goal.
There have been a few plateaus along the way, and I definitely miss some of my old habits, but I'm getting there. And I know this is nothing compared to some of what you've all accomplished, but it is a victory, nonetheless.
TL;DR - 27.5 down, 27.5 to go
