looking for a bit of advice.

hey, I'm Tori. I'm a 19 year old college student studying criminal justice. I have bipolar 2, bpd, and gad. I recently (like a day ago) realized that I do in fact have free access to a gym through school. I'm just a freshman so I don't have a rigorous course load, and I live on campus. so, with that being said, I'd like to shed a few pounds (like 30-35 not sure) and I don't know how to go about doing that. I personally, have never participated in physical activity willingly. I hated pe all throughout school, and I'm certainly not what you would consider athletic. although, I know I need to lose weight, and I thought utilizing the gym would be a good place to start. I've never really stepped foot into a gym so I don't know what would be the best thing to start with, or any procedures or procausions to take. I'm tying to to use a scale because I know I'd get too focused on the numbers and not the big picture. I figured exercising would give me something to do as well, which would be nice. I know eating is the majority of the work too, which is something I most definitely need to work on as well. (apparently a bag of hot fries and a sprite doesn't exactly tick all the boxes on the nutrients list. who knew?) if you have any advice you could think of that may possibly help me, please feel free to leave it below. thanks!

btw, I'm sry if this post is scatterbrained.
