Hi! I was wondering if there's anyone here that has successfully transition from eating Keto to eating a more balanced diet and still counting calories.
I am a 32M 6'1" that started Keto weighing in at 269 at the beginning of March 2018. I am now down to 181 and starting to look at things for me when I reach my goal weight of 175. I dont believe Keto is sustainable for me as I really miss a lot of foods I can not eat. I was thinking about just doing CICO for maintenance so I can allow myself to enjoy life a little more. To allow the odd slice of pizza with the non keto family or have a burger with a bun but still being very mindful of how I reached 269lbs.
The biggest thing I'm worried about is losing the energy boost I seemed to get while I've been doing Keto. I use to be tired all the time and be in bed by 930 and now 11pm is a new normal and I love it. I am still little untrusting of myself going back to eating some carbs but I think with counting calories it would be manageable for me. Has anyone had success in this transition? Do you lose a lot of energy?
Thanks for the support.
