background: I'm 5'4", 147 lbs last time I checked. This puts my BMI around 25, which is just overweight. I would like to get down to around 130, ideally. I feel terrible about my weight, and it's affecting my life and my confidence adversely in so many ways. I've always struggled a bit with body image, but this is the most I've ever weighed and I need to make a serious lifestyle change if I want to be my happiest self. However... I'm a senior in college. Eating (fast food) and drinking (to excess) is ingrained in every single social situation that I am involved in. I cook at home a lot for financial and health benefits, but if all my friends are going out to eat or want to go grab drinks, I don't want to have to say no. I'm a former binge eater, so I struggle so hard with moderation and telling myself that it's okay to just have one or a little bit of something. Does anyone have any experience or solid advice on how to seriously change your eating habits and stick to a meal plan, even when unexpected social events come up?
