I have seen a few post with people who ate to much today and are feeling bad.
My advice is t plan ahead. Meaning that if your tracking your foods then eat less in the days leading up to a special event (in this case thxgiving) so then you can eat more on that one day. The goal is to eat a set amount of calories not just in one day but for the whole week.
Example - you can eat 2000 calories a day which is 14,000 for the week. Then for 4 days that week eat 1500 calories and now you have 2000 calories you can use for Thursday and eat 4000 calories on Thanksgiving!!!
Example - My recent birthday I wanted Popeyes chicken. So I skipped breakfast as normal and then skipped lunch. I ate my high calorie meal that night and stayed under my calories. I do not do this on the regular as I feel even though I am under calories...eating fried chicken on the regular is not good for you. I still lost weight that week and have lost weight since. One high calorie meal is not going to sabotage you if you PLAN for it.
You can use this for any special occasion. Also what helps is skipping meals like breakfast. I stopped eating breakfast since July. I found that I am hungrier at night so I just skip breakfast and push those calories to later in the day. I am not hungry and feel great without that one meal.
