Hey there -
Tracking calories, not seeing progress, feeling like everything I do is wrong - I took a break from it all and switched meds (SSRI -> SNRI). After a couple of weeks, still not seeing any progress so I'm taking a fresh look at my strategy.
Thing is, how do you handle the stress of writing it all down? My life is EXTREMELY full (41M w/ multiple jobs, family, projects) and my SO works full-time, too. After controlling myself and my environment all day to meet all these obligations (we can discuss in detail if you like but TL;DR - they exist, they aren't going away, so my fitness/nutrition need to work around them) I have a hard time insisting that I control my nutritition, too. It's stressful to track everything and write everything down!
This isn't a conclusion I came to lightly - I've been using MFP carefully for two or three years now. AFAIK, while not perfect, I have been hitting macros and caloric deficit often enough to experience some kind of progress but I've consistently bumped up, perhaps due to changed metabolism.
So ... just stepping back to look at everything. Does anyone else have a similar experience?
