A little venting, some nsv and a lot of room for advice

I’ve struggled with my weight my whole life, I was diagnosed with hormone problems (pcos), pills help but I need to lose weight to get the most out of them, but the hormone pills (birth control and metformin ) cause you to gain weight (bc mainly) ...... oh the pills cause other side effects too, some awesome like controlling monthly cycles but others like low libido and weird acne, or some strange form of random diarrhea (diet does play a big role in this side effect too) .

I’ve stopped taking the bc pill and sad to say I take the metformin when I remember, though yes it does help there are stomach cramps and things that aren’t much fun....

I managed to lose weight about 8 years ago using the hcg diet, I went from 245lbs to 205lbs, I actually kept it off for a year, but with emotional events like my grandpa hospitalized and then passing I gained it all back plus some.

(Hcg is a hard diet and an expensive one, I’m not sure it’s necessarily the healthiest either, if you can afford it and find a reputable doctor and follow the strict rules then good luck! )

I finally decided I was going to try to take back my body when I realized I went over what I thought I would never go over, 300lbs.

Cutting out carbs and down on sugars I lost 20 lbs, cutting down on calories (trying to stick to 1,500 -per doctor- not easy and I’m not super strict on it) I’ve lost more but unfortunately my scale broke (it was old and had been given to me anyways) and I just haven’t been motivated to buy a new one so I don’t know exactly how much. I know I’ve lost more weight because my pants aren’t fitting the same. The legs are a lot looser, and my shirts actually fall below my waist line, and are starting to fall below my bikini line.

Although, the only places I see my weight changing is in my back, chest, arms, and legs my stomach hasn’t really moved! This is really upsetting to me, it’s what everyone can see the most.

I figured cutting calories and cutting carbs aren’t going to do it all, so I joined a gym it’s only been about a week, but I notice I can go up the stairs faster and without as much “out of breath ness”

I thought I would do 3 days of an hour work out on the machines that basically focus on certain muscle groups and just work through my whole body. Plus do some cycling.

I’ve actually wound up doing 2 hours the three times I’ve gone. A whole body work out, I know I could increase the weights but I wanted to be sure I wouldn’t cause a injury to myself and I’ve been doing more weights each time. I figured out my legs are a heck of a lot stronger than my arms! I’ve been doing 3X10, with rest til my muscles stop burning.

Ive done the cycling too for about 20 minutes right after I finish the weights ,I go the highest I can keep steady for the 20 minutes.

So I am 28F 5’5” starting weight would be 301lbs, current weight I think is 275lbs maybe less, my goal I think would be 199lbs? I’m not sure really on a goal. I’ve lost the weight over 6 months. I have a pretty boring job intermixed with a few moments of intensely not boring. I pretty much stand or sit the majority of the day, I’ve recently joined a gym.

What else can I do? What should I be doing at the gym? How can I lose the belly fat?

Thank you for taking the time to read my long mess.
